Lobo Project recovery report

Nagual (M968) gets a mate!

none

Good News!! The latest monthly lobo recovery project reportĀ  noted that F1064 and M968 are to be paired in captivity and potentially released into the wild next year.

The Mexican gray wolf M968, named Nagual, recently arrived to the USFWS facility from Wild Canid Center of Eureka, MO, the original private facility to accept lobos in the late 1970's.

Nagual was born at the Wild Canid Center and fostered by AM806 aka Lorado. Lorado is now running free and leading the Bluestem pack in Arizona. Nagual, who was moved to the pre-release facility in Sevilleta in May 2009, is to be paired with F1064 who was recently brought in from the California Wolf Center.

Wild Canid has a new Facebook Page. You can see a photo of Nagual in Wild Canid's superb "Mexican Gray Wolf" photo album.
